Hike to Shingle Falls

California is SO beautiful, especially this time of year. Last week, we drove up about 45 minutes north of us near Wheatland, CA to hike up to Shingle Falls.

The weather was perfect...

This is on the way up to the trailhead...
Single land bridge ahead.

Lake to the right...

Dirt road.

A few families in the ward joined us for the hike...

Some of the troops...

Hiking buddies...

Ric trying to distract Brooklyn. She thinks she can't go on...
But she made it!

Look how beautiful!

We got more than halfway to the falls when we came to 3 paths. We ended up taking the lower path down by the stream, but found out that we had a really steep climb at the end.

It was worth it to see this:

Wow...beautiful!

Family and friends. Stopping for lunch...

The upper falls.

Daddy showing Addyson the finer way to water the flowers... ;)

Pretty wildflowers...

On the way back, we took the trail through the hills.

More wildflowers.

We had SUCH a great experience. Can't wait to go again!
I love getting out and enjoying the beauty
that was created for us.
