Addyson warmed up to Grandma really quick (either that, or she was "sleep" drunk). She was being SO silly and climbing all over her and talking in her silly voice. I wish I had caught it on video...it was hilarious! I didn't know what to think, and either did grandma.
We heard (for about the 50th time) the story of the time when my mom cut my grandma's hair too short, and my dad said he would be suprised if she DIDN'T mention anything about her Bishop. She LOVES her Bishop...I'm glad that she has such great support from her ward there. And she's not hiding her age (92) anymore. We had a talk about not saying anything about "grandma being REALLY old", and "that means she is going to die soon." I'm glad we didn't have any "wish we could rewind that minute" moments this time...
I have SO many great memories of visiting Grandma growing up:
*Playing her old player piano and how much she loved to hear me play.
*Going to stay with grandma in the summer and reading all of the "Reader's Digest" magazines that she would keep at the side of the couch.
*Grandma says that I will always be "her" girl. She tells me that she was the first to hold me when I came off the plane at a couple weeks old (I was adopted) and that I smiled up at her.
*She was a teacher and tutored math for many years. She helped me as I struggled through algebra. I wish she would have been closer. Maybe there would have been a chance of me actually liking math.
*She has always been a grandma that you can relate with and just kind of hang out with.
She is such a special person in our lives...
We LOVE Grandma Sam!

What a wonderful Grandma! Have to say I'm jealous! And way off subject, you're moving to California! Where?
