Something Different...My new idea blog

I'm constantly looking for new and exciting (but not too risky) adventures...So I've created a new blog just for this...Click here to check it out! Don't we all get tired of the same 'ole "dinner and a movie" night or taking the kids to a park? Well, I'm going to share some ideas of things that we can do...either as a couple, family or girls night...I'll try to post something once every week.
I grew up in Utah, but have only skied once in my life (and it was actually at Big Bear in California, lol) and I've been snowboarding once up at Brighton with roomates years ago. It was fun and I caught on fast; I just don't think I will ever be a skier or snowboarder. BUT...I would LOVE to be able to enjoy the winter and the snow since it likes to hang on into spring...so I want to try this up at Sundance Resort:

Ladies Day Cross Country Skiing
Dates: January 17, 2009

Price: $30 per person
Includes lesson, pass, and rental.

Also, for families or couples, they have this:

Night Owling
Experience the solitude of a Mt. Timpanogos winter landscape. We'll call for owls & learn about wildlife in winter.

Price: $30 per person
Includes a guide, snowshoe rental and use of the trails.

Dates:
January 23, 2009
February 6, 2009
February 27, 2009
March 6, 2009
March 13, 2009
Each night begins at 6:30 p.m.

**Doesn't this sound like so much fun? Have any of you done this before? Share your experience and any suggestions for us!

I would want to do the Night OWL but would it be cold? also, the cross country would be interesting but I cast all these interests to the side until Cants gets older & I can leave him with a babysitter for an extended period of time

The night owl would most likely be COLD! But once you get out there walking around, you'll warm right up I'm sure...We could warm up with some hot chocolate beforehand too! :)

This sounds like a lot of fun! I am seriously considering one or the other, but I too have the babysitter dilemma. *sigh* I'll let you know if I figure out a way to go! Thanks for the cool ideas.
