Millions of peaches; peaches for me...

We have an abundance of peaches on our peach tree...so much, that 2 of the branches broke from the weight...the poor tree is looking kind of sad. We have plans to make peach jam, but haven't been able to borrow a ladder yet to reach the juiciest peaches at the top of the tree. The birds have been pecking at them for days, so I'm hoping that we can get to them in time...
This will be my first attempt at canning anything...I've heard it's about the easiest canning you can do, so I'm going to have a try at it...I'll let you know how it goes.

Those peaches look good. I bet it is fun to have a peach tree. You will have to let me know how the canning went.

Ooh! I want your peach tree! That is one thing that I want a yard for--fruit trees! Fun! Good luck with the canning. And thanks for giving us some! :)

I have never canned either. But those look too good to waste.

I didn't know you had a blog. I'm going to miss the OBBC- I'm going to blog stalk you now because I've always liked your posts and threads.
Getting the skins to peel can be a fun but sticky sticky mess. Have fun! And hey, practically free Christmas basket filler;)
