Grandma Sam's Funeral

Since we had just moved to Colorado when Grandma Sam passed away,
I was only able to fly back to Utah for the funeral.
But I know that Ric and the girls wanted to be there...
They have fond memories of grandma Sam.
Addyson remembers all of her stuffed animals in front of the fireplace;
especially all the ones that danced around and played music...
And the bartender that blew smoke out of his ears...
And the frog that hid under the coat rack that would "ribbit" as you walked by...
She always had cookies sitting out on the counter
and plenty of paper; pencils and crayons too...
We will definitely miss our Grandma...it's hard to believe that she's gone,
but comforting to know that she is with her first love again,
Grandpa Jack...

I was a nanny for Grandma Sam's son, Jim, for a couple of months during
 the "Virginia Blizzard of '96".
Where I also learned to drive a stick in snow and ice...it was quite humorous...
Grandma Sam would interview their nannies from Utah and send them out to Virginia.
Of course, she didn't have to interview me, haha,
but we took a picture with 2 of the other nannies who were there at her funeral.

Although my dad was Grandma Sam's son from another mother,
She always treated him like her own.

One of the great things about a funeral is that it brings family together.
SO thankful for my parents and siblings and the time we got to spend with each other.
Even though we all have our own unique personalities,
we always have a great time and good laughs...
