Arizona business trip

This was the most scenic and beautiful drive I have ever been on.
It turns out that there are a few different ways to drive from Utah to Arizona,
and we just happened to pick the best one.
We were traveling light this time, and only took Addyson with us.
She got to spend some quality time with mom and dad.
The other girls were happy to stay home with grandma and grandpa
and spend the days playing with their friends...

Even with the beautiful drive, we still heard THIS over a hundred times:
"are we there yet??"

One of the many rock shops on the way...

THE famous Rock Stop (I'm assuming)

Yup, pretty much gets whatever she wants on this trip...

 See? Beautiful!

Another famous stop I'm sure for those who know this well...
some big hole in the side of the mountain
that now is a gift shop/tourist attraction...

Cactus!

Dinosaur footprint!

 Us girls...

 More scenic shots...

 Palm tree!

And the very beautiful Christus and Mesa Temple

Very hot (like about 114 degrees) tired and grouchy...

There's a smile!

Nothing like the Arizona heat! After finally getting there after 10 at night, we opened the car doors and were hit with an unbelievable wave of heat. It was like nothing I have ever experienced! Our apartment hadn't had enough hours in the day to cool off, so our first night we were dripping from the heat. Luckily, the next night was much better after running the air conditioning non stop for the whole day.
While Ric was doing business, Addyson and I went to the movie "Brave." After the movie, we didn't "brave" the heat, and stayed in the mall. They were featuring an inside ice skating rink, but we didn't get a chance to try it out. We visited a pool where the water was like sitting in a warm bath and we tried to hit a couple splash parks. In Mesa, they had a patriotic celebration on one of the days, so we hung out there for a few hours...dripping sweat. It got down to 104 degrees at about 9pm...lol
It was a short trip, but we had a great time!
