This last school year, the girls had a music class.
They learned so much and I was impressed at how much knowledge their teacher,
Ms Johnson, was teaching them. She was getting married after the school year,
and invited students to come and sing at her reception up in Salt Lake City.
The girls were thrilled to be able to perform,
and went to practices with several other kids from school.
We decided to make a family outing and go up a few hours before the reception
and spend some family time in and around Temple Square.
We went on a tour of the Beehive House
and learned a few new things about Brigham Young and his family.
We kept saying what a beautiful home it was...
Then we walked around the temple grounds and gardens...
We ate lunch at The Lion House.
Sorry to say that we were not impressed with the food there AT ALL.
It was like eating in a cafeteria.
I guess we should have just stuck with the bakery section...
oh well.
The girls couldn't resist cooling off in the wading pool...
The beautiful Salt Lake Temple...
"I love to see the temple..."
"...a place of love and beauty..."
"I'll prepare myself while I am young..."
You can't help but feel the spirit in this room with the Christus...
It gives you a glimpse of eternity
and you feel the Savior's love...
After spending some time around the temple,
we headed over to the reception so the girls could practice one more time
before performing in front of all the guests...
Silly daddy...waiting in line for refreshments...
All of the kids did such a great job...
They sang " Goodnight Sweetheart"
SO cute!
Congratulations!
