Minute To Win It!

 Wow...I can't believe another year has gone by, but it has...and Brynley turned 9 in March! One of her favorite shows to watch is "Minute To Win It", so I suggested that we have a party set around that theme. She was SO excited about that idea, so we decided to go for it. We started out inviting about 10 friends, but ended up inviting about 14 or 15 friends...and EVERYONE except for one person showed up! We were planning on having it at the church, but the forecast said that it was going to be nice and sunny the day of the party, and I couldn't stand the thought of being inside during the most beautiful part of the day, so we held it at the park. Best decision ever! It turned out to be such a nice day...We picked about 5 games and we had teams of two to make it go quicker. The favorite game of everyone was called "Face the Cookie" where you place an oreo on your head and slowly guide it toward your mouth. No one was successful, but we had many close tries. We had extra oreos to eat, so we weren't too sad
when they kept hitting the dirt.
 Team Names were:
Happy Hippos
Funky Monkeys
Happy Chicks
Pink Panthers
Funny Bunnies
Alley Cats
We came up with the names beforehand and had each one of them draw a team name out of a bag to determine who they would team up with.
 M & M Smile
Sucking up M&M's through a straw to make a smiley face

"Face the Cookie"

"Bucket Head"

The games got done just in time to sing Happy Birthday;
eat cupcakes and open presents...
And I have to brag for just a sec...I whipped out the "Minute To Win It" sign the night before. I have to say I was pretty impressed with myself, especially considering the time it took me to draw it all out... ;) And thanks to Aunt Shaina for the yummy blue-frosted cupcakes! We had prizes for everyone to go home with, and Brynley ended up with a large haul of presents with no where to put them! Thanks to everyone...
it was a birthday to remember!
