A BIG surprise for Christmas!

In October, I got a job to be the crossing guard at the school the girls go to (which happens to be the elementary that I went to). It was a perfect job within walking distance. I just loaded up the double jogging stroller with my sign and cones. Most of the time Addyson would get in too. We ran up to the crosswalk 3 times a day.
I told everyone I was using the money for Disneyland...
still unsure myself that we would ever take that trip in the near future.
I LOVED being the crossing guard!
What other job is there that is more rewarding?
I felt so appreciated...
SO, anyway...I have a wonderful previous mission companion and friend who lives near Disneyland. I emailed her out of curiosity to ask how it would be to go to Disneyland around Christmas. I knew she would be a great resource since her family had season passes.
She emailed me with some really unexpected news: She had a family member that worked at Disneyland, and he had 5 FREE tickets to give to someone!
We could have them if we could make it down there...
I couldn't believe what I was reading! I think I even cried! FINALLY, something exciting might happen after years of disappointment and discouragement...
We made some arranging, and after we knew that we could make it work, we surprised the girls. It was my sisters idea to make mini pizzas shaped like Mickey Mouse. They turned out so cute! The girls (and Uncle Dane) were so surprised and excited when they realized what it meant!

I was SO excited to finally have a plan actually work out...
as planned!
More details of our Disneyland Christmas Vacation to come!
