Dressed in WHITE. "Simply" white.

I had a great idea to make a baptism dress for Brynley.

She picked out the pattern from "Simplicity." Which now I'm wondering why it's called Simplicity??

For who?

Let's just say that I got in WAY over my head. I was seriously fooled into thinking I could figure this out on my own. When I couldn't figure out how to lay the pieces out on the fabric (which TOTALLY makes the dress btw),

I knew I was in trouble.

Thanks to my mom and a few sewing lessons, it was barely finished in time.
In the end, I determined that this must be a heirloom dress...it will be passed on to generations.
I spent enough time and money on it to make at LEAST 3 more "simpler" baptism dresses.

ANYway...

THIS is the dress...it deserves it's own post.

Can you believe I hand-stitched the sleeves??
I can't...

That is a pure satin sash...beautiful.

What a cute little model...the dress fits her perfectly!

On to easier sewing!
Phew!
It was totally worth it though... (I think)
