My previous dream post got me thinking about a dream that I had over 10 years ago, when I was working as a telemarketer. (You know, the job where you want to quit so bad but can't...because where else can you sit for 8 hours, get a few phone calls, finish your homework and get paid for it? but THAT is another story...)
Well, there was a girl on my "team" that I had a dream (technically a nightmare) about one night. I was really never close friends with this girl, but we had talked a few times during those REALLY slow days in the telemarketing world. This dream was one of those dreams that you can't seem to get out of your head all day long because it seems so real. And I still remember most of the details to this day...more than 10 years later.
I was at a pool that was surrounded by a chain link fence. I was on the outside of the fence looking in. It was VERY loud and noisy. As I looked down into the pool, I saw this girl from my work (I knew it was her by her long dark hair) floating face down in the pool. I immediately started yelling "HELP!" "HELP!" But no one heard me and I couldn't get past the fence to do anything. I remember feeling so helpless and just screaming and crying for SOMEone to hear me!
The next thing I remember was her being pulled out of the pool, and someone I knew began doing CPR. Then a dark sheet was pulled over her body, and I knew that she had died. I woke up totally bawling like it had really happened...
I thought it would be kind of awkward, and debated not telling her about my dream the next day (and I was REALLY hoping that she showed up for work), but I had an opportunity to tell her on our lunch break. She didn't really seem suprised at all, and after I finished, she shocked me by telling me I wasn't the only one who had dreamed this similar dream of her drowning. To tell you the truth, it spooked me a little bit, and I always worried about something happening to her. She did end up going off the deep end (not in the water, but into drugs), and I wondered if that may have been what the dream was all about. Maybe a warning for her? Who knows.
I REALLY hope that drowning isn't her fate. And if it is, I hope I NEVER hear about it...

Wow, what a powerful dream. I love talking about dreams and their possible hidden meanings and such.
That's creepy that other people had dreamed about her drowning as well. If I were her I would have taken it seriously!
