The girls started by collecting "kindling" for the fire (pinecones, bones, rocks and misc)

Singing camp songs (I Said A Boom-Chica-Boom was their favorite...thank goodness for 5th grade camp) and making smore's.
We figured if our van didn't start, then we would be camping (I brought blankets and jackets just in case)...but it decided to be reliable this time. You never know with our "trusty" 'ole van!
