This is an all too familiar goodbye to daddy at the airport. Only a couple more times, and then we will be joining him in California. Our landlords have put our house up for sale or rent, and we will be leaving the end of May.
We are so happy to be join Ric in California, but SO sad to be leaving friends and family here. Grandma's, grandpa's, uncles, aunts, cousin's...and we can't forget Jada and Heidi (grandma and grandpa's dogs). This will be our 14th move in 8 years, but we hope one of the last. We picture ourselves back in Utah at some point, maybe even buying one of the homes in our ward here in Alpine. We have been so blessed to live here.
We're not sure why circumstances have led us to move, but we know that the Lord is directing us. Amazing things have happened in the last few months, and we know that this is where we need to be right now. We feel so grateful to even have a job in these hard times, and we are so ready to move on in our lives.
This move will be one of the hardest things I've had to do so far in my life...I'm trying not to think about it too much, and just "go and do." I know the Lord is preparing a way.

I feel your pain. Our home sold and now we're off to who knows where. We are not going to California so I can't imagine leaving all that family behind. We'll pray for you. You'll be blessed.

Where in California are you moving? Exciting, but I bet your parents are going to miss you all.
How exciting...and sad. I want to cry just reading it. I guess I'm a little sensitive to moves that are far away! :) Good luck with the move though...if you ever need someone to cry to...I'll cry with you!! But, I have to agree, the Lord will prepare a way and I know great blessings await!!
Oh, that is sad you're leaving, but happy that things have been going so well for your family. I wish you the best in Cali!
