Yard work and potato bugs...

We've really been working hard to get our yard looking nice again the last couple of weeks. The girls love to help pull weeds and water the plants...even Addyson tries to help, though it doesn't last too long. We find lots of potato bugs that Brynley and Brooklyn try to keep "safe" in covered cups and bowls, only to find that they didn't survive through the night. Brooklyn acts all surprised and disappointed in the morning to find her potato bug dried up with it's legs up in the air...you know...dead, even though we have tried to explain to her what might happen...
I never thought I would enjoy yard work, but it really has "grown" on me (lol) and it's a great way to spend time together as a family.








































Notice in this last picture how Brooklyn is posing with the shovel...she sure makes yard work exciting! What can I say?
